In September 2021, we spent a dream day in Val Cenis. Accompanied by Jérôme Furbeyre, A certified guide who had been established in the region for several years, all you had to do was follow and listen.
Surrounded by unique buildings, such as the Malamot fort (built at the end of the 19th century) and reaching an altitude of 2917m, this outing was a discovery both historically and athletically. In 2020, we climbed the Col d'Agnel and the Col de l'Iseran, and discovered the Bonnette in 2021, all among the highest mountain passes in Europe. But gravel biking is here to break the mold and allows us to access new trails and thus surpass 2900m. Beyond the... unique, physically challenging, the view becomes breathtaking; and the Val Cenis is full of peaks approaching 3000m.
Lulled by these landscapes and the many stories that have shaped the history of this place, the day passed too quickly, giving a strong desire to return but above all to share it.
