Montcenis

Montcenis

In September 2021, we spent a dream day in Val Cenis. Accompanied by Jerome Furbeyre, a qualified guide who has been living in the region for several years, all you had to do was follow and listen.

Surrounded by unique buildings like the Malamot fort (built at the end of the 19th century) and culminating at 2917m, this outing was a discovery both historically and sportingly. In 2020 we climbed the Col d'Agnel and the Col de l'Iseran, and discovered the Bonnette in 2021, all culminating among the highest passes in Europe. But gravel is there to break the codes and allows us to access new trails and therefore exceed 2900m. Beyond the side unique, physically difficult, the view becomes breathtaking; and Val Cenis is full of peaks reaching 3000m.

Rocked by these landscapes and the many stories that have made the history of this place, the day passed too quickly, giving a strong desire to return but above all to share it.

At the house of Matchy, we don't just offer eco-friendly products for everyone, we also have a strong taste for adventure and sharing. This is why we go on gravel or road trips every year, but also why we created La Brigade in Annecy to organize rides and a local community. Meeting new people who are passionate like us while discovering new routes is also our leitmotif.

That's why for 2022 we want to offer you the chance to discover this top spot of alpine gravel for yourself!

Always accompanied by Jérôme to tell you all the secrets of Val Cenis, but also to take you to the most secret corners. Discover this alpine gravel paradise by booking your spot for our next weekend.
