Matchy x Baroudeur
For a professional cyclist, building your “afterlife” isn't always easy. Imagine having to turn the page on the activity you got up for every morning. The races you trained for, suffered for, and thrilled for are over.
High-level sport is increasingly demanding, forcing athletes to become highly specialized in their field. When you've had very little on the side outside of your job, it's difficult to get back into a world where you have few points of reference.
For professional cyclists Jérôme Cousin and Pierre Rolland respectively, there was no question of letting themselves go. At the end of their careers, the two riders decided to continue sharing their passion for cycling by creating Baroudeur Cycling.
Baroudeur is an authentic cycling tour agency, offering turnkey trips led by Pierre and Jérôme, with routes designed and certified by this duo. With them, you can enjoy tailor-made rides in the company of cycling legends, assisted, guided, or self-guided trips, all on road or gravel bikes.
When Jérôme, Pierre and Marion, his partner, told us about their project, it seemed obvious to us to create a Baroudeur x partnership Matchy. Like their services, the adventurers were looking for high-quality textiles designed in France. As for us, true cycling enthusiasts, we wish to join projects who have meaning. With Baroudeur, Jérôme, Pierre and Marion share their passion for cycling in an authentic way and promote French knowledge. Now, Matchy supports them in this adventure by designing their equipment and creating their graphic charter.
To honor this partnership, we have welcomed the team March 17 and 18, bringing together 40 people for an evening exchange with Pierre and Jérôme on Friday, then meeting up for a bike ride the next morning. A perfect opportunity to share a conversation, a drink or a coffee, and a ride with the former pros.
We also took the opportunity to show them the region and take some photos for their communications channels. We can confirm that they worked up a few sweats on the passes around Annecy.
SO, Matchy x Adventurer, do you agree?
